    Customer Reviews:
You get what you pay for
This product was very inexpensive and shows you get what you pay for. The product does not work and we tossed it in the garbage. It wasn’t worth the time or expense to send it back. Would not recommend.

    DON’T BUY THIS
i have a 16gb zune. the first time i used the charger it worked fine, but took forever to charge. the next time my zune froze. it took me awhile to figure out how to fix it. the final time i used it, thinking it should work fine, it froze and i couldn’t fix it. i searched on the zune website for how to fix it and found nothing. the buttons wouldn’t work, and it was broken for a couple days. in the end i left it on to try and run down the battery. once it was dead i hooked it up to the computer and was able to get it working again. the charger ended up in my garbage. my friend got the same one, she has an 8 gb, and it wouldn’t do a thing. don’t buy this, pay more for the actual zune charger.

    Must-have
One of the Zune’s weaknesses (at least for the 30GB one) is the fact that you absolutely need a computer to charge it. So, if you want to travel with it or lend it to someone that’s not so computer-saavy, it’s a must-have.

I found that I even used it when watching the zune because it would be nearly dead after an especially lengthy movie.

    Had it since early 08
I have used this charger at work since early this year and it works perfectly. I have had zero complaints and highly recommend to anyone.

    Pay cheap get cheap
I tried to not pay the high prices for a Microsoft charger but this charger worked great the first time. The second time it almost broke my zune player. I got a battery symbol on the player and it won’t turn on. I then went to hook the zune to the computer usb port charger and the symbol went away and it charged fine. I will not use this junk charger again in fear of breaking the zune. They say they accept returns but they dont reimburse shipping. It will cost more to ship it back then I would get back for the device.

    Enthusiastic Beginner Says…
I found this book at my public library - and what a find. It uses beginner language to teach profession quality lessons. Buzzwords are taught at the beginning and mounds of practical advice are given throughout. I am filming a documentary for my parent’s 40th wedding aniversary, and this is the guide I’ll be using. Although outmoded, all the advice given is practical and applicable. Lost a star for having been written before the advent of digital camcorders and software editting.

    Customer Reviews:
Smaller then I thought it would be
The description is a bit vague for my taste. When I got it I was expecting a larger oven. 10 means in diameter and it holds 6 quarts which is on the smaller size for dutch ovens. Good size for cobblers and possibly meats. Good product and nice because it comes with a lid lifter for free. I really like the Commemerative lid which can also be used as a skillet. Nice feature.

Well pleased with the one I got
This product is made in China and sometimes the quality isn’t all it could be. The oven I got is a good casting with excellet lid to bottom fit. I was pleasantly surprised and very pleased. I own two other Dutch ovens and two cast iron rosters from Camp Chef (all ordered through Amazon) and I have had good luck with every one of them. All of them are good castings with good lid fits.

    Too many details
Kudos to the author for incorporating an interesting main character who is a woman of color and not succumbing to the token “proud” African American woman who gets one page of text. I also found the details about the music business, furnaces, Al-non and amplifiers interesting but felt the daily life details such as “she put her wallet on the bumper of the truck…..she picked her wallet up” were annoying. I can’t figure out if the author’s editor quit or if the author was being paid by the word, but the book could have been cut in half. Sorry, but I found the book easy to put down on a regular basis.

    Terrific story

This novel is a real delight. The characters that populate it are wonderfully endearing and unique, they are fully fleshed out and become very real to the reader. The story-line flowed readily. It is a real pleasure to read a lengthy novel that can fully explore all the characters facets and doesn’t feel like parts are rushed, especially the ending. One of the other reviews mentioned this was movie worthy and I agree.

The writing is excellent, pulls you in and will not let you stop reading until you finish. You want to savour the reading and don’t rush to the end to find out how the story ends. I am looking forward to the next story by this author - I just wish I already had it waiting for me on my bookshelf.

I liked Kip from the get go and liked her even more as the story progressed. I liked Jamie tremendously. I didn’t understand some of the actions she takes (or doesn’t take) so maybe that makes her the more true to life character. I think they make a good couple and was sad the book ended as I would have liked to explore them as characters longer.

From the publisher’s web site - Different Dress is the story of three women on a cross-country musical road tour. Jaime Esperanza is a gaffer/electrician and roadie. The headliner, Lacey Leigh Jaxon, is a fast-living prima donna with intimacy problems. She’s had a brief relationship with Jaime, then dumped her for the new guy (who lasted all of about two weeks). Lacey still comes back to Jaime in between conquests, and Jaime hasn’t yet gotten her entirely out of her heart.

After Lacey Leigh steamrolls yet another opening act, a folksinger from Minnesota named Kip Galvin, who wrote one of Lacey’s biggest songs, is brought on board for the summer tour. Kip has true talent, she loves people and they respond, and she has a pleasant stage presence. A friendship springs up between Jaime and Kip - but what about Lacey Leigh?

It’s a honky-tonk, bluesy, pop, country EXPLOSION of emotion as these three women duke it out. Who will win Jaime’s heart and soul?

    Intriguing! Action-packed! A Great Book!
The author of such great books as Gun Shy, Under The Gun, Have Gun We’ll Travel, Ricochet in Time and Stepping Out: Short Stories introduces readers to two new favorite characters to take to heart.

Kip Galvin, school teacher, songwriter and singer is asked to join the summer tour of popular singer Lacey Leigh Jaxon, It seems Lacey Leigh has, once again, run off another opening act. Assigned the task of picking her up at the airport, is Jaime Esperanza, electrician extraordinaire who handles and oversees several aspects of the tour, one of which is Lacey Leigh when she’s `under the weather.’

As Kip spends more time on the tour, she begins to form questions: Exactly what does Lacey’s being `under the weather’ mean? And why are so many of her opening acts quitting? As the tour progresses, Kip is `adopted’ by members of Lacey’s band who surprise Kip one night on stage by playing back-up on one of her songs. When Lacey objects to this and throws a fit, Kip literally scolds Lacey as if she were a small child, shocking both Lacey and the people around her.

As Jaime and Kip begin spending a lot of their down time together, they form an easy friendship. As time passes, Kip realizes her feelings towards Jaime are changing and she is completely blind-sided when Jaime, who has a history with Lacey, “dumps” her and goes running when Lacey calls. When Lacey’s “under the weather’ condition surfaces as a serious drinking problem, more questions arise. How will this affect the tour? The band? The fans? Even Lacey herself? Will it take Lacey all the way down to rock bottom? What happens to Jaime if it does? Could Kip and Jaime’s friendship survive the fall? And which of them would give all they have for ONE true chance at love?

Lori L. Lake is an extremely talented writer who once again snares the reader with skilled telling of an extremely entertaining, event-filled, decidedly well-written tale of a journey by three women as they experience life, love, heartbreak, drama and adventure in the behind the scenes action of touring, and the complicated world of country music.

Buy a copy for a readaholic friend!
Wow!! I love this book! It has stayed in my mind, weeks after reading it, causing me to reflect again and again on various points of the story. As usual with a Lori Lake book, it’s a wonderful, well-written tale, full of real life people and real life dilemmas. Did you know Lori spent some time with the Indigo Gilrs and their tour show, garnering research material for the stage set-ups and techno-detail? Ms. Lake is developing into a master (or should I say Mistress?) of what she does best–producing great lesbian novels. Can’t wait for the next one.

Had to read while driving & flying…I could NOT put it down
This was Lori’s BEST book to date. I loved each of the other’s but I could not put Different Dress down. I loved following the ‘band’ around on the road. I enjoyed the skipping from Kim to Jamie and looked forward to what each new chapter would bring. I loved the details of the touring bus and could relate from long distance travels in a motor home. The jamming on the bus between shows sounded like a blast - I wish I could have been there.

The characters were so loveable that they could have been my friends, except Lacey. I started this book before a travel engagement. The book went everywhere with me and I only stopped reading when the light turned green, when it was time to leave the plane and again when I could not keep my eyes open a second longer after a very long day.

I am already looking forward to Lori’s next book and sad that this story is over. Thanks Lori for another awesome read!

  • Screen protector included.

    Customer Reviews:
    Great case w/some minor flaws…
The ifrogz Luxe Case for iPhone 3G/3GS is definitely eye-catching (I saw this one on a guy’s iPhone at the Apple Store and searched around till I found it) and has that “ooo”/”ahhh” factor. It’s slim, sleek, snug, slider-style, and provides good protection around the iPhone while leaving buttons & connectors accessible. As stated, it leaves a bit of the chrome around the screen exposed (which is nice), but protected at the same time since the case extends a mm or so beyond the screen so you can lay it screen-down on a flat surface without concern. The finish looks fantastic - it’s soft, smooth and matte. It doesn’t attract lint & dust like silicon, and while it won’t show scratches as much as glossy finished cases, it WILL scratch and/or chip without a lot of effort if dropped or slid across a sharper object. There is a wide strip of black felt material in the center of each piece to help prevent scratches to the iPhone body when removing either section. The orange in the picture is pretty accurate, IMO - it’s a medium metallic orange. I call it metallic burnt orange, but then again, I’m a Texas Longhorn fan (and it’s a perfect match)! The black in the picture is what’s off - the actual case bottom is truly black, while it appears a dark gray in the picture. The ifrogz logo is on the back center of this section.

While this is my favorite iPhone 3G/3GS case thus far, there are some flaws to be aware of:

    1) There is a 1-2mm space between the bottom of the iPhone 3GS and the case, when viewed from the front and slightly above (I’ll try to upload a pic); while this probably won’t detract from function, it does detract from appearance and is the only issue that really annoys me - ifrogz can and should easily fix this!!!

    2) The cutout around the volume and ringer/vibrate switch goes too far toward the back - leave them exposed, but don’t unnecessarily expose any area of the phone; again, ifrogz can & should fix this.

    3) As mentioned in another review, the mold joints are quite visible which does detract slightly from the appearance;

    4) As opposed to another reviewer, I’ve found that the bottom piece comes off TOO EASILY for my preference - just a slight pull and it’s right off - I’d prefer more security. Mine has never come off on its own, but it does separate just slightly where I find myself pushing it back flush at least once or twice per day.

    5) If you use a screen protector, note that the bottom corners of this case do come up and over those of the iPhone and will put enough pressure there to cause the protector to bubble a bit. While it’s not a deal-breaker, it’s worth noting and I question the value in the “extra protection” of the wrap-over corners - they didn’t do it on the top, so why the bottom? ifroz should get rid of them and resolve the screen protector interference issue.

    6) I’ve not had any cracks or breakage in the area where the top & bottom meet, but I do know what these reviewers were talking about - the joints on the upper (orange) piece in this area appear quite thin and could be fragile. However, I don’t really see how they’d just break unless subjected to some blunt force or recurring stress.

Overall, this is a GREAT looking slider-style case that provides good protection with unique style. Compared to the price of your average hard case at the Apple Store (~$35) the ifrogz iPhone 3G Luxe Case is definitely recommended. I’ve had two other cases including the Contour Flip and the ifrogz beats them both hands down. I would buy more than one if I didn’t love the orange/black so much!

    Great Iphone Case
Case is great ive had it for a couple weeks and dropped it a few times and no damage to the phone or the case. There are better shields out there for the screen but it pretty good.

    Very Nice
This iPhone case is very nice. It is very sturdy but not so bulky that you cannot carry your iPhone in your pocket. Worth the money.

    Happy
This product was just what I was looking for. It is slim and nice looking. And I got this producted ship to me less than a week.

    cracks in case
I like the concept of this case, having the edges come over the front of the screen so that you can lay it down, screen down, without the screen touching the supporting surface. I also got the case largely for its other feature, a removable lower portion to make for easier docking. I also like it’s looks! Initially, I was very pleased.

However, after removing the lower portion a number of times, I began to notice cracks in the upper portion where the two sections interlock and now several small pieces have actually broken off the upper portion.

Taking this case apart clearly stresses the plastic of the upper portion. So, I would not get this case only if you are not planning to take it apart on a regular basis.
